Paul joined the Welsh Guards as a boy soldier in 1979 and left in 1990 after serving in many locations around the world.
Paul says, "To be asked to lead the first leg of Walk on Wales made me feel that at last I could give something back to families and friends of the Welsh Guards who have always been there for me. I am looking forward to getting together with members past and present and seeing what we can achieve."

Originally from Newport, South Wales and now living in High Cross where he and his wife run a Social club which has two rugby teams and two cricket teams, he also works for a logistics company importing steel from the Far East.
