RFA Sir Galahad Memorial, Tenby Lifeboat Station

Ray Poole, who sadly lost his son Gdsm Gareth Poole on the Sir Galahad in 1982, at the RFA Sir Galahad Memorial at Tenby Lifeboat Station.

The walkers visited the RFA Sir Galahad Memorial at Tenby Lifeboat Station during the walk from Freshwater East to Saundersfoot on day 47 of the Walk.  This was a very poignant and special moment for Ray and all the walkers as we left the memorial cross to Gareth under the original lifebelt from the Sir Galahad.

We are all deeply grateful to Ray for all the wonderful work he does for those who have connections to the Falklands and the wider community.
